Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) job overview
Applications are invited for a registered band 6 Biomedical Scientists to join this busy department.
At HH, you would benefit from the opportunity to work in the busy automation area and other affiliated sections such as the referrals unit within HH Blood Sciences. You would encounter a wide range of interesting cases on a day to day basis and have an opportunity to practice a wide variety of analytical techniques such as directly assisting with the weekly intraoperative parathyroid hormone surgical procedure.
You will possess a relevant professional qualification to degree level and two years post HCPC registration in Chemistry. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a firm scientific knowledge base and competent IT skills in order to operate/develop in this department.
The department also operates a contractual out of hours service (approximately two nights per week attracting an out of hour salary enhancement) in which you will be required to participate.
